In December the members of our club, assisted by Bellville Rotaract Club had a fun-filled evening, wrapping gift boxes, in preparation of a Christmas project.

On the 22 December we visited the Kraaifontuin Tehuis Community Centre for the Aged and Disable where we hosted a Christmas Tea Party for the 150 residents. They were overjoyed when we arrived with the many gifts and a wonderful spread of sweet treats. which they could enjoy while listening to Christmas Carols and opening their gifts.
While handing out the gifts to the sounds of Christmas Carols and many of the residents singing, the staff served refreshments and the sweet treats. The gifts contained mainly essential items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, facecloths, shampoo, roll-on deodorant etc. however we managed to include a few extras such as soft sweets, biscuits, magazines and a scarf or lipstick for the ladies and socks or playing cards for the men.
We had a wonderful afternoon and when the party was over, we were serenaded by one of the residents with a special song of thanks.
